Frozen in judgement and worry,
Blaming to protect and defend,
Using the shadows to hide her away from,
This protected pain that cannot mend.

Her guarded heart needs correct confirmation,
Hearing only the cadence of the critique.
This measure refuses the journey,
Granting only chase of the safety she seeks.

The method overrides the madness,
Shrouded in procedure and plan,
Seeking escape from prisons of perfection,
Desperate to meet who I am.

Now storied for unthawing in freedom,
Sharing to help and to heal,
Using the shadows to guide her way through,
This cleansing pain that she can openly feel.

Vulnerable heart leads with reality of weakness,
Listening for the symphony of the serene,
The journey embraced complicated,
Safety found as she is completely redeemed.

Love overrides the compulsions,
Imperfections used by laughter and light,
Stillness in the parole of transformation,
The I am uses the wind for her flight.
