Reflect Truth
It is funny how a phrase melds into our language, sometimes dissolving the line between the source and the story, making it hard to tell where, when, or even why someone first caught the bug to use it. What was once new soon feels comfortable and common as the real foundation quietly erodes into a societal norm. Before you know it, it just always was.
This can become a little tricky when it comes to phrases attributed to the Bible. It doesn't take long for assumptions to replace truth. Wisdom is found when we search for the source of the words we use most, especially when truth is at stake.
Let's pause, clean the lens, and explore what is really in the Word.
