Light of Your World

My Guiding Light . . .

Star light star bright, I see how you shine,
Bringing hope for wishes of every kind.
But your guidance has brought more than considered,
Significance cherished when all hope has withered.

Whether saint or by angel your noteworthy cause,
Is justified truth, not neverland oz.
Your light written and witnessed, now proven true,
Leading men of great wisdom straight to the youth.

Granting directional focus, a long journey’s way,
To find that babe asleep in the hay.
The myth is no more the stories are real,
The son of man comes to break the seal.

The light of the star upon the light of our world,
Right then just a baby with tiny hands curled.
But the star shines bright for God’s only son,
Knowing battles ensuing are already won.

Its light everlasting and reaching afar,
Shines upon you wherever you are.
The same light of wisdom found that small babe,
And will shine even after the life that he gave.

Star light star bright, I see how you shine,
Even in the broken heart that is mine.
The wish to be had are the prayers that unfold,
The future he brings me in his hands to hold.

This evening I lift my arms to the sky,
To seek a wonder to rise upon high.
A light to be found within all the dark,
A promise greater than rainbows and arks.

A hope still to come but yet already here,
That will lead me home despite all of my fears.

Just a Thought

An ode to the shining star that guides me, Jesus. In all I do, He is the light I will chase and wish upon. He is the source I draw from so I can shine at my best self as often as possible.

These words are also another poetry collection tied into the under 250 word flash fiction challenge. Again, 250 exactly, but maybe not so much fiction after all.

Greater

Sometimes we must move forward even when the weight of troubles are heavy upon our hearts. We cannot give up the battle for good.

Recreate Me

It is a hard realization when we look in the mirror and see we have so far to go. We are a new creation, but we still need a lot reflection.

Surviving the Fall

She privately mourned a love she could never admit she had. She would never again feel that freedom . . . or would she?

My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
